Mixed.

4 stars for the writing: Stuart always is amazing; 3 stars for parts of the plot. I'm divided. I love how she writes and I know the subject matter will be dark in terms of the romance but...not sure. There's a lot of him "deciding to have her" like it's a 70s bodice ripper... and her pretty much acquiescing out of fear (tinged of course with fascination) and the knowledge he can physically overpower her. Not good for a victim of trauma. And this book should have a trigger warning for rape.It's one of those books that excuses the hero's behaviour because he actually worships the ground she walks on and will protect her forever. Or similar. The h is a bit of a doormat. With a hidden racy side.Like I said, fantastically well-written, not so sure what it says about real relationships.

incisively, compelling, breathtaking

Stuart's writing is just beyond comparing. She does not follow she blazes a path and walks on the edge of the knife to give you a vivid, breathless story. Some will likely not like her walk on the wild side, but she is right on target.Jamies and Dillon will linger long in my mind. They provoke, they entrall...a true dance with the devil.This is my first Stuart book, but it won't be my last.

This writer is stunning in her gutsy, no holds bar writing, brilliant! Often I read a book, and once I put it down, the words fade into the mist. Moonrise, I read about 7 years ago and it's as vivid today in my mind as when I finished. Into the Fire, will be as vivid 7 years from now as it is today.Stunning!
